AuraCheck

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AuraCheck ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and app (the "Service").

1. What we collect

We collect information depending on how you use the Service, including:

  • Basic account/session identifiers: We may store anonymous identifiers to keep your sessions working and to show you your gallery/inbox.
  • Selections and activity: Selected traits and other selection-based inputs, plus related session metadata needed to operate the Service.
  • Device and usage data: Device/browser information and approximate network information (such as IP address and user-agent) used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
  • Submission metadata: We may store technical metadata related to a submission (for example, anti-abuse signals).
  • Reports: If you report content (for example through an in-app report or by emailing support with a link identifier and description), we receive what you provide and may also store technical metadata (such as IP address) for safety, investigation, and abuse handling.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Operate, maintain, and provide the Service
  • Generate and display aura/vibe outputs and galleries
  • Process selection-based feedback flows and related feature logic
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security issues
  • Debug, monitor, and improve product performance and reliability

3. AI providers and generated outputs

Some outputs are generated using third-party AI providers. To produce these outputs, we may send limited input data necessary to generate a result (for example, aggregated trait labels, a vibe category, and prior outputs for duplication-avoidance). These providers may process that data under their own terms and privacy policies.

AI outputs are generated by third parties and can be incorrect or inappropriate. We do not control those outputs. You should not rely on AI outputs as professional advice.

4. Anonymous submissions

The Service is designed so that people can submit feedback without revealing their identity to the owner by default. However, we may still collect and store certain technical information (like IP address and device data) for safety, integrity, and legal compliance.

5. How we share information

We may share information in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, analytics, security, and AI providers).
  • Compliance and safety: If we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect users, or prevent abuse.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary course of business.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and/or local storage technologies to operate essential features (for example, keeping your session working, preventing abuse, and remembering basic preferences). Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies or similar technologies.

If you choose Hide this link on a public vibe page, that preference is stored only in your browser’s local storage on that device. We do not receive a separate "hide" record from that action, and it only changes what you see on that browser or device.

For visitors we reasonably identify as being in the European Economic Area (EEA), we may show a cookie and advertising consent notice on certain web pages and use a default limited-ad experience until you make a choice. That determination may be based on technical signals such as your country as inferred from your network connection (for example, headers provided by our hosting provider). When we cannot reliably determine country from those signals, we may not show that notice and may apply a different default.

7. Data retention

We retain data only as long as needed for service operation, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and legitimate business purposes. Retention periods may vary by data type.

8. International transfers

We and our vendors may process data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you understand that your data may be transferred and processed in those jurisdictions.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” signals. At this time, the Service does not respond to Do Not Track signals in a uniform way.

11. Children's privacy (13+)

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, contact us at support@auracheck.link or through the app, and we will take appropriate steps, which may include deletion of information where required.

12. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain information. You can also clear local storage in your browser to remove locally stored data. For other requests, email support@auracheck.link or contact us through the app.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland

The Service may be used by people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If applicable data protection law in your region gives you rights over personal data (for example, to request access, correction, or deletion in line with this policy, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to complain to a supervisory authority), you may contact us at support@auracheck.link. We describe what we collect and why in the sections above. We may need to verify your request or decline requests where the law allows (for example, to keep records required for security or legal compliance).

Delete my account (in the app)

If you use the AuraCheck app, you can choose Delete my account from the main menu. When you do this, we will deactivate your in-app account in a way that is designed to:

  • Remove or clear profile-related information tied to that account (such as your display name and device recovery fields we use to recognize the account), and mark the account as closed on our systems.
  • Stop treating that identity as an active user for new activity. For example, public share links that depend on an active account may no longer be available to visitors, consistent with how the Service works.

Some information may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or backup and integrity of our systems, as described in the "Data retention" section above. We do not use a deleted account to send you marketing or to restore the same public profile without your action.

Deleting your account in the app does not automatically delete every message or record that others may have received outside the Service (for example, if someone saved a link elsewhere). It also does not delete data held only on your device until you clear app data or uninstall, where applicable.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the “Last updated” date above.

14. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email support@auracheck.link or contact us through the app.
